For the past 25 years we have been fortunate to participate in original and sponsored Diabetes research, helping bring many of our current diabetes treatments to physicians and patients. Research keeps us at the apex of diabetes experience and understanding. And it offers free care and medicines to people with diabetes who participate in clinical studies. Currently there are many diabetes studies ongoing at our center and at diabetes centers across the world.

Currently Enrolling Studies at University Diabetes & Endocrine Research Center

We are pleased to offer clinical study opportunities for people with newly diagnosed COVID-19, OR type 2 diabetes, AND/OR Liver disease. And A new insulin study for type 1 diabetes will begin as soon as the pandemic permits.

Type 2 Diabetes Studies:

At least 18 years of age
Have Type II Diabetes > 90 days
Taking oral meds or insulin or both AND
have A cardiac condition AND/OR
have Increased lipids AND/OR
have diabetic retinopathy AND/OR
have chronic kidney disease

COVID-1Treatment Study:

for Persons within 72 hours of COVID-19 symptoms and/or positive RNA test.

Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Study
Offers 1 hour infusion of spike protein antibodies to bind and dispose of COVID-19 virus. This study is placebo controlled. For all participants, Laboratory monitoring of COVID allows your doctor to prevent and treat any COVID complications.

Liver Disease Studies:

Patients with Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis

If you have fatty liver with elevated liver function tests
OR cirrhosis with portal hypertension
you may qualify for studies which will define the stage and severity of liver problems and test medicines to improve liver function
